Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has joined the league’s health and safety protocols and will not be playing against the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night.

Players with positive test results can clear COVID-19 protocols with two negative PCR tests within 24 hours as LeBron James recently did. Otherwise, Antetokounmpo will likely have to spend 10 days in isolation with the team without conducting physical activities. If he has to spend his entire number of days in isolation, Antetokounmpo will miss the Bucks’ Christmas Day clash with the Celtics at the Fiserv Forum.
The Milwaukee Bucks have listed Giannis Antetokounmpo out for tomorrow’s game against the Indiana Pacers due to NBA health and safety protocols.

Antetokounmpo played Sunday in New York and Monday in Boston. He had a brace in the win over the Knicks and scored 20 points in the team’s 117-103 loss to the Boston Celtics.
In the double for Milwaukee, Wesley Matthews also took part in the league’s health and safety procedures and will also be on the field for Wednesday’s game against Indiana.
This is not the first time this season the Bucks have faced COVID-related absences. Earlier this season, Khris Middleton missed eight games after testing positive for COVID-19. The Bucks suffered 3-5 in his absence.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 27 points, 11.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 26 games so far this season.
