Britney Spears is released from her management role
Britney Spears is exempt from conservatorship after 13 years.
“The court finds that conservatorship of Britney Jean Spears is no longer necessary,” Judge Brenda Penny of Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled.
“What’s next for Britney, and this is the first time this can be said in about a decade, is of one person: Britney,” attorney Mathew Rosengart said outside court. “I would say that Britney was put in a position through our partnership and the work of our law firm to succeed… As of today, Britney is a freelance woman. , she’s an independent woman.”
Britney didn’t attend the 31-minute hearing, but she posted a tweet thanking her fans.
“God, I love my fans so much I’m going crazy ❤️!!! I think I’m going to cry today!!!! Best day ever… Praise God… can I get an Amen 🙏🏼☀️🙌🏼 ???? #FreedBritney,” she wrote.
