Breeze Rider Eyes third straight stake wins in Pippin


By Mike Piazza Breeze Rider has collected her first two bet wins in her last two starts and is now looking to add a third straight win to her résumé at $150,000 Pippin Staking on January 8 at Oaklawn Park.

5 year old child Payer mares fought front for neck victory in the Joseph R. Peluso Memorial on November 25 at Fair Grounds & Slots, then connect my Seduction Stake on December 11 at Lawn Park to win 4 3/4 length. Both of those scores hit 1 1/16 miles, while she will race a mile in Pippin. The Jockey ET Baird has a stand from Lesson 2 for trainer Steve Manley.

Kueber Racing’s Coach will try to continue her triumphant return in Pippin. 4 year old kid Commissioner Filly rallied to win two lengths in the mud on December 17 when joining an allowance option claimant in Oaklawn. This is her first start since an out-of-game finish at the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1). She placed third in Fantasy Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn last spring.
