The Pure & Crafting Festival kicked off a great weekend by motorbike on Friday. Initiated by BMW Motorrad, the festival took place for the second time at the Sommergarten in Messe Berlin, offering the usual mix of music, motorcycle culture and a new way of life.
The extensive program of BMW Motorrad Days events on Saturdays and Sundays includes a number of street motorcycle shows along with test sessions and FMX are indispensable features, as are the racers. Death at the original Motodrome – the world’s oldest wall of death display.
Custom fans were well catered for with the converted motorcycles in the Wheels Area, while motor racing enthusiasts were delighted to see BMW Motorrad WorldSBK riders as well as members of the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team.
Alternatively, the entire range is available for tours around the charming city of Berlin and Brandenburg. First-time motorcyclists without a license are also offered, as are Enduro tasting training sessions.
Tours of the BMW Motorrad production plant are a highlight for many visitors: this is the first time that visitors to BMW Motorrad Days can gain a deeper understanding of motorcycle production.
In addition to the entire BMW Motorrad product portfolio, there are booths operated by more than 100 exhibitors in the vast exhibition and trade fair area. The kids area has a lot to offer the little ones: lots of fun games and a specially set up Kids Cycling Course that ensures the enthusiasm of the motorcyclists of the day roof.
New to the show are Pure & Crafted’s familiar General Store with many other exhibitors from the lifestyle sector as well as the bar “The House of Machines” with its Marshall Live Music Stage. Speaking of music: the title The Darkness created a party atmosphere, while Nestor, Gen and the Degenerates and Gallus really drew in visitors.
The first BMW Motorrad Days took place for the first time in Seefeld, Austria in 2001, after which it was held 18 times in a row in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
