The core mechanic that makes Naraka unique is the ‘paper-scissors’ combat system. When you click on L2/R2, you will initiate normal attacks. And when you press and hold L2/R2, you’ll attack Concentration that can’t be broken by normal attacks and will deal more damage. Finally, we’ve added a special gesture called Counter, which can defeat Focus attacks and knock away enemy weapons. But Counter does nothing but be defeated by normal attacks. We optimized the control for the PS5 DualSense controller, allowing users to achieve any combination. We’ve installed a targeting tool to help players make better use of their grappling. Whether they planned to target the enemy’s body or the nearby ground, they could manage it with ease. Another function we included is auto-spin, a feature commonly used for Action games. We also focused on optimizing the SSD so PS5 players can enjoy higher frame rates and load speeds.
