Bilt apologizes after mistakenly sending scary emails to some members


Bilt apologized on April 10 after some Bilt Rewards members received alarming email notifications from Bilt Legal that their accounts were in danger due to misuse. And there’s good news for those who may have transferred their points as a precaution.

Many TPG employees received the email, which stated:

Around 2:30 p.m. ET, Richard Kerr, Bilt’s vice president of travel, posted a message sent to Reddit explained that the original email was sent in error. Not long after, a correction email was sent.

But Bilt told TPG that any mistakenly transferred points will soon be returned to the user’s account.
