Big Floofy Dog wanders through the live weather broadcast and steals the limelight

When you work as a weather forecaster, your job is to “predict” what lies ahead. But a New England weather forecaster certainly didn’t anticipate a large, furry poodle that would appear on his early morning weekend weather broadcast. As you might have guessed, the mischievous dog caught everyone’s attention and gave everyone a good laugh.

And while the weatherman was initially caught off guard, he quickly recovered and even included her in the segment.

Josh Judge was live on camera as the dog darted across the screen. He was on an early morning broadcast and told New England to wait for some sun when suddenly a dog appeared behind him.

Josh shared: “It was early morning, and all I knew was that while I was watching the weather, I suddenly saw a dog walking behind me.

While it’s clear that Josh was completely caught off guard by the dog’s appearance at first, he’s clearly an experienced professional and quite comfortable in front of the camera. He barely missed a beat, and after laughing a bit, he even incorporated her into the segment.

“My brain was like, Did a dog just walk behind you? I had to pause for a millionth of a second to make sure that was what I just saw,” he said.

While Josh didn’t know she was going to visit that day, it turns out Bella, the big, beautiful dog, belonged to the weekend host. Amy Covena. She’s in the studio so she can be in a segment about veterinarians.

Maybe Bella is just getting excited for a while in the spotlight or Josh simply smells too hard to resist. Either way, Bella is ready for her close-up. Other dogs will lose their minds, may even jump and bark when in a new place with lots of new sights and smells. But luckily, Bella the Newfoundland is cool and casual.

“I was afraid that Josh would get mad at me or that I would get in trouble at work. But Josh is a PRO. We’ve been working together for 10 years and he made her part of the anticipation,” Amy said.

Turns out the studio cast and crew weren’t the only ones kicked out by the charm dog. As soon as the cute clip started being shared, it quickly went viral on YouTube and now has more than 858,000 views.

“Our viewers seemed to really enjoy the surprise,” Amy said.
