Supersport 300 Race One

The Supersport 300 race has begun with Jai Russo starting the first race. Then, right from the opening round, Cameron Rende and Jamie Port met and ended up on deck. Others judged to have started at the beginning after the footage was reviewed were Glenn Nelson and Jordan Simpson.

Without difficulty was Cam Dunker, who crossed the post to lead Sam Pezzetta and Hayden Nelson through the opening round against Cam Swain, Taiyo Aksu and Henry Snell.

Local lad Pezzetta came forward to lead the group that became the lead group of three riders including Pezzetta, Dunker and Nelson. That trio began to swap positions as the race progressed while Taiyo Aksu was in relatively solitary fourth as the race entered the second half.

Aksu took down that trio in the last few rounds to take down that party… He actually led most of the final lap before entering a few overheated corners before the finish, which allowed Pezzetta to pull through and win over Hayden Nelson and Cam Dunker.

That quartet crossed the line ahead of fifth-placed Henry Snell more than ten seconds after a gap of just seven laps.

And that third place is good enough for Cam Dunker to win the Dunlop Supersport 300 Championship 2022. Well done young man.

Supersport 300 Second race

Sam Pezzetta and Cam Dunker were the protagonists from the very beginning in the second Supersport 300 competition, as Taiyo Aksu and Hayden Nelson gave chase.

Cooper Rowntree had a moment and that resulted in Brodie Gawith falling out of the race seeing the red flag appear. Unfortunately, the red flag appeared while the riders were going straight, resulting in Jamie Port running up behind another rider who had already left after seeing the flag, which was a heavy somersault for him. with Port and his machine was left halfway down the main line. Jamie suffered a minor concussion after the incident but is recovering.

After a long delay, the race is on again with the usual suspects ahead from the start. Dunker from Pezzetta, Nelson, Aksu and Snell. Cameron Swain joined that group in the next lap and then took the lead in the race with four laps remaining.

Swain led Pezzetta on the final lap with the pair having a few bike miles ahead of Cam Dunker and Taiyo Aksu in pursuit. The quartet went on to take the checkers in that order with Swain taking 25 points to win.

Newly crowned champion Cam Dunker ran away in the weekend’s final Supersport 300 encounter leaving Sam Pezzetta and Taiyo Aksu to battle for the remaining two places on the podium. Pezzetta was eliminated from that competition despite having just over three laps remaining after losing first at the age of 15.

That leaves the fight for the final step on the podium to be contested by Cam Swain and Hayden Nelson, which comes more than five seconds behind race leader Dunker and three seconds behind Aksu.

Dunker ended the Supersport 300 season with another win over Taiyo Aksu and Cam Swain took his third step on the podium over Hayden Nelson.
