Behind the scenes of a short film during a Norwegian storm with the Canon C70
As travel has become difficult, videos of distant locations have become even more compelling. Watch as a Canon ambassador creates a beautiful short film in northern Norway, battling the elements and the pandemic.
I don’t usually share Canon videos because they’re just a slight disguise for the ads more often than not, but this particular video is incredibly beautiful in its nature, let alone the short cinematography of it.
Sam Newton, a filmmaker and Canon ambassador, teamed up with Canon to create a short film using Cinema Camera C70 in part of the Arctic Circle in northern Norway. Norway is one of my favorite countries on earth and one I can’t wait to return to. It’s a wild, mountainous land with brutal weather and unparalleled beauty. The northern part is particularly stunning, with towns like Lofoten becoming popular among travel, landscape and astrology photographers.
Even in behind-the-scenes footage, the site looks like another world and the final film, Eye of the Storm, is impressive. You can watch it below:
Whether or not you’re interested in buying the C70 (and I’m not), it’s a great watch! However, I should give you a warning: you will want to visit Norway and will likely experience strong cravings. Or maybe it’s just me!
