BBC’s Simpson revisits Afghanistan under the Taliban
It is 20 years to the day because the Taliban have been pressured from energy in Afghanistan, pushed out for harbouring the September 11 attackers.
What adopted have been twenty years of bloody warfare, which finally ended with their return to Kabul.
The BBC’s World Affairs editor, John Simpson, has lined each twist and switch of the battle.
He and cameraman Joe Phua have been a part of the BBC group which entered town forward of the advancing Northern Alliance forces again in 2001.
Twenty years on, John and Joe have taken a journey again to Kabul to see what has modified.
