In Cat Quest III, players will explore a treasure trove of picturesque islands and meet countless meowing characters as they set sail in pursuit of the legendary North Star. Some of these characters will aid your adventures and prove valuable comrades for the journey ahead… while devious pirates and nefarious villains will try to ruin your day! Meet some of the new characters you’ll meet on this seafaring adventure.
Your trusted spiritual companion, Captain Cappey is by your side every step of your adventure. His main goal is to become the greatest pirate that ever lived, even though he is long past the ‘living’ stage. Whether sharing their wisdom or explaining the details of being a pirate, Captain Cappey is your perfect guide.
This adorable cat is named Mama Milka, the proud owner of The Milky Barrel, which serves milk instead of rum to cats across the country. She will provide some guidance to begin the adventure of finding the mythical North Star, providing the first clues to confronting Captain Meowtallika. Additionally, give the bounty to Mama Milka’s pirate (or pi-rat!) to receive stat-boosting milk bottles – an essential drink for any soon-to-be privateer! These equipable trinkets will enhance a specific ability or stat, such as Pawer Milk which helps players attack faster the more they attack! Players can equip as many of these trinkets as they want as long as they have spare customization slots in their gear.
Big brother to the beloved Kit Cat, Kidd Cat is a mischievous kitten and the local blacksmith. Throughout your adventure, you’ll find tons of gear to customize your feline friend, from hats and eye patches to boots and swords! Upgrading your gear with coins found in the world around you makes you stronger and more resilient in battle, so you can take on tougher challenges. Remember to visit often and upgrade your gear for a great loadout!
Avast! Two vicious pirates are ruining your day: Captain Meowtallika and Captain Takomeowki! Captain Meowtallika is the leader of the metalhead pirates, famous for their heavy metal concerts. Captain Meowtallika is inspired by heavy metal musicians, so we wanted the boss battle to reflect this and literally stage it on a concert stage! During battle, Meowtallika will play various riffs on his guitar, corresponding to different types of attacks that the player must dodge in time – which is sure to be extremely exciting.
Captain Takomeowki is the captain of the Spicy Squids – the coolest crew of tentacled sailors who refuse to bow to the Pirate Rat King. Takomeowki is inspired by some of our favorite Japanese dishes! Also, a lot of people on the development team love hell shooters, and since Takomeowki is a magic user, we wanted to really focus on this and let players avoid a bunch of magic His hot and spicy! These villains will try to stop you from finding your North Star – so be careful.
The fiercest pirate in the land – no one challenges him and lives to tell the tale! King Pi-rat has been cursed so he can never die, but he also can never heal, so his design is a combination of stitches and replacement parts – he I seek answers to end my curse and will stop at nothing to find them.
But that’s not all in Cat Quest III: there are plenty of other villains we haven’t shown yet. Players can also take on the 10-story tall Cthulhu monster, the Necromouser, the rampaging Giant Boar, and more.
