Even before we get our first look at the Buell SuperTouring 1190, the new motorcycles will always stay within its ethos. Buell 1190SX with the bag and windshield – that’s clear compared to the info and renders Buell shared prior to launch.

However, no one expected that to be the case.

The new model looks exactly like a Buell 1190SX, with an extra rack on its subframe for two panniers and a rudimentary front apron housing two round headlights, LED light bars and a windshield.

The rest of the 1190 SuperTouring looks exactly like the 1190SX, which makes one wonder where the extra $4,000 on the $21,995 price tag comes from.

A simple set of touring bits added to naked motorcycles is nothing new in the motorcycle industry, with Aprilia doing exactly the same thing with Tuono V4 sport bike base model 1100 to make it more tour friendly.

KTM takes the idea a little further with Super Duke GT model, has more pockets and a little more integration than KTM 1290 Super Duke CHEAPbut at least all these options look like professional efforts.

Buell’s SuperTouring 1190 looks just like what we’ve come to expect from customer garages – despite insisting that the look was written by the famous designer Joey Ruiter – and judging from the comments left on Buell’s Instagram channel, we’re not alone in that opinion.

Aside from any aesthetic design possibilities, Buell also seems to have forgotten Ninja H2 SX when the ad claims “the fastest production touring bike on the market,” as the 197-horsepower Japanese bike seems to have Buell’s measure.

While the marketing campaign boldly claims that “Buell is back” – one has to wonder if the way forward will materialize into any kind of appearance for this long-standing American brand. . This weekend’s efforts certainly create new doubts.
