Aston Martin Vantage 2024: Updated sports car tracked

Aston Martin is already getting updated versions of its entire sports car line-up and the most affordable model – relatively speaking, that is – has been caught testing.

updates Aston Martin Vantage will be revealed this year, along with overhauled versions of the DBS And DB11 – the latter is likely to receive name DB12.

The brand is about to reveal more models at Capital Markets Day on June 27th and has been confirmed to launch eight sports cars in the next 24 months.

At the front, there’s a larger grille, larger headlights and new bumpers, with the clamshell bonnet swapped out for a more conventional hinged unit.

The raised headlights and rounder grille make it a better fit for the current DBS and DB11, as well as the previous generation Vantage.

Changes behind the A-pillar are much more limited, although there appear to be larger exhaust pipes and a different rear bumper design.

While our spy photographers weren’t able to capture the prototype’s interior, we expect these changes to be as significant as those applied to DB11.

The upcoming DB12 will ditch the old Mercedes-Benz-derived COMAND interface, complete with a trackpad, in favor of a touchscreen display.

Other notable changes include a stout gear selector, revised knobs and switches, and what appears to be a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

It’s unclear if there will be any changes to the Vantage’s powertrain.

It is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 sourced from Mercedes-AMG, producing 375 kW of power and 685 Nm of torque.

There are also more powerful F1 Edition and V12 versions, the latter using Aston Martin’s 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12. V12 will not continue with the updated model.

Aston Martin previously said customer deliveries of the sports cars would begin in the third quarter of this year and the first of these has already gone into production.

Mr. Stroll said car last year front-engine sports cars will receive updated suspension, engine and transmission, along with heavily revised styling inside and out and newer technology.

In short, Mr. Stroll said the updates would turn them into “cars that should have always felt that way”.

In addition to replacing the current Vantage, DB11 and DBS and their Volante convertible variants – bringing the total to six – Aston Martin has hinted at a model that will be “above the GT” and offer “a level of luxury” really high importance at a high price level of performance”.
