What prompted you to launch a purposeful brand?

FaceGym is a business that promotes confidence. We start from a place that says you are great and aim to amplify that and help you grow into the best version of yourself. Working as a beauty and health journalist for over 10 years, I’ve tried everything, but it just made me feel worse.

For me, it was important to change the story of confidence that exists in the beauty space. When you visit the FaceGym studio or use our skincare, tools and workouts at home, our goal is to help you experience true confidence.

It’s like the strong, powerful feeling you get when you leave the gym but for your face and skin.

What was your biggest lesson from the past year?

The biggest lesson for me over the past year has been the true meaning of teamwork and the power of surrounding yourself with people who strive for success, innovators and game-changers, and who want to win. I feel incredibly lucky to have a team around me who believe in my vision, support my passion, and match my determination to achieve.

As a leader, you need to establish the culture in which you want to work. To me, confidence is important both for yourself and your ability to convey it to others. Giving your team confidence every day will leave them feeling empowered to create and keep striving for success.

If you could credit your success to one thing, what would it be?

My belief. One of my favorite mantras is, if you can’t see it, you can’t be it. You have to close your eyes to see the big picture, see yourself as the boss, see yourself at the top of the leaderboard, see yourself running the show and never lose it.

You have to be dedicated to make it work. You can’t be half-participated — you have to be fully committed. You just want it so much that the real passion is there. Always remember why you started: that passion drives you through the tougher times. OLD

Believe in yourself, believe that you can find a solution, believe that you can achieve everything you set your mind to and you will.

What time is your wake-up call?

My usual wake-up call is around 6:15 am. I like to get up a little before everyone else to give myself an hour to get ready before my girls wake up around 7. I try to get 8 hours of sleep every night but really. I like ten o’clock.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

I prepare my drink trio. I do the same every morning, starting with hot water and lemon, followed by green juice, usually celery juice, and a hot oat milk cappuccino. I fast every morning until lunchtime, so this is basically what I classify as breakfast. This is also when I take my daily supplements, including B complex vitamins and vitamin C.

What rituals help you succeed?

My morning routine mainly consists of meditation, display, journaling, and chanting. I do these three things every morning to make sure I start the day with the best possible mindset and to prepare for the successful day ahead.

I just started using Verification, a blood glucose monitor to monitor your blood sugar. It analyzes your data to help you better understand how your metabolism works and checks for markers of inflammation that can lead to premature aging.

Describe your morning beauty routine from start to finish.

My favorite quick and easy morning routine combines our skincare, tools and signature workouts to kick-start skin metabolism, wake up facial muscles, and transform. change my skin for the new day. And I wear SPF every day, no matter the weather!

What do you always have on your nightstand?

“You’ll always find the book I’m currently reading and the FaceGym collection of skin care products — I never leave my favorite books.

What’s your favorite getting ready soundtrack?

My daughters are obsessed with Dua Lipa, so that’s the current soundtrack for our day.

Do you exercise in the morning?

I always start my day with a few gentle stretches when I wake up to relieve stress and warm up my body and muscles for the day. I leave school every morning with my girls, then I usually take a brisk walk home to prepare for the daily steps. I do reformed pilate twice a week and Ashtanga yoga once a week.

What will we always find in your fridge?

You will find lots of avocados and caviar. Always have really good red wine. Plus, of course, Multi Sculpturewhich I keep in the fridge to cool and soothe the sculpture in the morning.

I take Feeling sorry every day, so I also keep it in my fridge. It’s a water-based probiotic supplement that helps keep your gut healthy and supports the microbiome.

What is your daily uniform?

I wear a lot of sportswear, and my everyday uniform usually includes Stella McCartney from head to toe: sweatpants, overalls, and sneakers. I love her designs because they are sustainable and super comfortable.

If you had an extra hour in the morning, how would you use it?

I will definitely use it for meditation. Meditation was very popular in my life before I had children, and now it is probably one of the things I miss the most. But there really aren’t enough hours in the day.

What do you do every day to live a more mindful life?

I’m a big believer in expression and prayer, so I always set aside some time for each of my day. It could be in the morning, during my lunch, or finally at night. I just spend that time thinking about what I want. I close my eyes and say thank you for what I have in life today, what I am grateful for, and I express what I want for the future.

The top traits you need to succeed in life are: Self-belief. Believe that you can achieve it, believe that you can find a solution, believe that you can make your dreams come true and you will.

Bath or shower? Always a bath. I love the oils and lotions that penetrate the skin in the bath. I have an alchemist mix them for me with ingredients like magnesium and oxidizing oils.
