Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) will have hearing aids, heart rate detection: Report
Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) is expected to launch with a long list of features like heart rate detection, hearing aid functionality, and a USB Type-C port. The report, based on information received, has also shared renders of the rumored headphones from Apple. According to new renders and an earlier report, Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) could have a similar design to its predecessor. It also shows a body similar to the previous generation AirPods Pro, contrary to previous claims of a bodyless design.
According to a report from 52Audio, AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) there will be an H1 SoC with self-adaptive active noise cancellation and improved Find My functionality. New headphones from Apple could feature heart rate detection and a USB Type-C port for faster charging and better compatibility. The headset is also said to have a hearing aid function. This feature could allow wearers with hearing problems to use their headphones as hearing aids.
The report adds that the heart rate detection feature on AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) will collect and analyze the wearer’s inner ear data to monitor body temperature along with heart rate monitoring. The headset is said to have similar acoustic characteristics to that of the AirPods (3rd Generation) will support self-adaptive equalization, spatial audio for dynamic head tracking, and audio sharing.
The image shared by the publication shows that the charging case of the headset will have a USB Type-C port with multiple openings on both sides. The two larger holes on the right side can be secured with a metal pad. The charging case is expected to come with a speaker at the bottom that can play audio on its own and will work with the Find My app.
First comers report also announced that Apple’s True Wireless Stereo wireless headphones rumored to be AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) will have a similar design to its predecessor, AirPods Pro. Denying previous claims of a bodyless design, the report adds that the next-generation AirPods Pro will have a body, following in the footsteps of the AirPods Pro. The report also says that Apple has decided to omit the dual optical detection sensor on the rumored earphone models.
