MADHYA PRADESH 434/6 out of 144 episodes: Patidar received another pardon, from Deshpande. The ball is not the right length. Patidar used his hands to leave but the ball touched his glove and missed the post, leaving the controller in time. Deshpande is in beta, getting some good movement in the air and off the pitch. The uneven return helped. Sahani, keeping that boundary off the outer edge, was in control. TICKET! Mumbai chipped when Mulani traps Sahani in the front with a straight dash after pitching. Saransh Jain joins Patidar. He used the first ball with his foot and slapped it midway through four times.

MADHYA PRADESH 418/5 out of 140 voiceovers: WICKET! Raghuwanshi was hit clean by a seam after the pitch and kept a little low; Deshpande with breakthrough. Parth Sahani joins Patidar. The umpire checked without the ball, but Deshpande used part of his back foot in the bend. Mulani created an outside touchline but Shaw, when he slipped, couldn’t keep up and the ball flew to the fence; Sahani paid off.

MADHYA PRADESH 409/4 out of 136 voiceovers: WICKET! Shrivastava slipped 25 and Vasthi gives Mumbai its first breakthrough of the morning. The clumsy bounce from just a good short length has proven to be the MP captain’s undo. Next is Akshat Raghuwanshi. His first ball was kept on the outside low. The number of returns varies. Raghuwanshi’s explosive, breakthrough half-century changed the momentum against Bengal in the semi-final. Avasthi put a corner on Raghuwanshi, who hit it midway through the first four games of the final. Meanwhile, Mumbai needs to consolidate their strength – they have conceded easy and double opponents.

MADHYA PRADESH 396/3 in 132 episodes: MP continued to run as Shrivastava’s outer edge from Avasthi’s bowling ball flew through the gap between the slide and the track four more times. Patidar turned to the ’80s with a shot that knocked Avasthi out in four goals. Avasthi probably started the proceedings because he had good seam movement on Day 3. So far he’s been pretty normal, though.

MADHYA PRADESH 385/3 in 128 episodes: Avasthi, from the other end, throws a ball in the middle and foot and Patidar hurls it into the midfield fence. There was a big call against Shrivastava in Avasthi’s first game, with the ball swinging in and hitting the MP captain on the pad. But the impact is clearly external. Mumbai captain Prithvi Shaw had a heated discussion with the referees, presumably regarding lbw’s call. Patidar’s brace in Avasthi’s second game of the morning gave MP the lead in the first half. Meanwhile, Shrivastava stepped out to Mulani and introduced him to a six-minute stretch.

MADHYA PRADESH 368/3 in 124 episodes: Aditya Shrivastava and Rajat Patidar, two people fighting overnight, start the day. Shams Mulani, who turned left-hand, started around the stand and started with a girl. He’s bowling in the air slower.

DAY REPORT 3 MUM VS MP

The sun is finally shining due to the monsoon and shines brightly at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. And the luminosity quotient is multiplied when Yash Dubey and Shubham Sharma lend their luminescence. The centurions and their partnership in their second 222 runs helped Madhya Pradesh to a dominant victory over Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy final.

By the end of Tuesday, Madhya Pradesh had posted 368 for three in its first round and needed just seven to get past 374. A busy Rajat Patidar and captain Aditya Shrivastava remained in the fold.

Earlier, continuing at 123 overnight, Madhya Pradesh enjoyed assurances from Dubey (133, 336b, 14×4) and Sharma (116, 215b, 15×4, 1×6). Mohit Avasthi tried to drive a yorker, Dubey dug it out and in the same first time drove a number four. And day by day this pattern has been replicated, if any of Mumbai’s bowlers beat or let out a high pitched squeal, the riposte would be four!

The Mumbai captain, Prithvi Shaw, the plan to strangle Dubey and Sharma has come to nothing. Sharma wrote the essay on two drives for four off Tushar Deshpande, and it quickly became a story about liquid runs. The Mumbai runners probably crossed a line while skiing, and referee KN Ananthapadmanabhan had a word with Shaw.

The pursuit of team glory and personal milestones energised Dubey and Sharma as they reached their fifties. Mumbai had a chance when Sharma, 55, chipped one towards the short cover, and Armaan Jaffer failed to catch it. There was a bit of fear when Dhawal Kulkarni’s narrow serve hit Dubey’s helmet. The hitter remained calm, the pitcher apologized, and a few times later, Dubey steered Kulkarni to four.

When spinners Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian posed the odd question, the first was pulled to six, and the second was called four when Sharma shifted gears. Dubey added his part after surviving a lbw call from Kotian, smashing the camcorder through the ropes. 100 was engraved after Dubey scanned Kotian, and Madhya Pradesh was sitting at a beautiful lunch with 228 for one.

As it continued, it was Sharma’s turn. The second new ball made no impact, and with a shielding hit, Sharma hit his ton. He then hit some quads, surviving an unnecessary appeal for being caught behind, but Avasthi, the miserable bowler, soon found the edge. Madhya Pradesh was 269 for two, and the audience applauded Sharma and cheered loudly for the next man Patidar connected by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The hitter exudes a T20 vibe, hitting four at will without compromising his aesthetic. And with Dubey continuing to hold his ground, Madhya Pradesh came in at 301st place in the tea party. In the final session, Patidar was caught in match 52 but without Mulani’s ball and Mumbai’s calamitous trophy occurred. Finally, Dubey managed to shoot Mulani, and the Mumbai fighters graciously patted the hitter. Madhya Pradesh is leading in the summit clash and should stay that way unless Saturday causes some surprises.
