Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua defeated Jermaine Franklin by a one-way decision on Saturday at the O2 Arena in London.
The official scores are 118-111, 117-111 and 117-111. Boxing Junkie scored 118-110, 10 rounds into two.
Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) has a simple strategy of repeatedly stabbing and throwing right-handed. And, later in the war, he held Franklin whenever the Americans came near him.
Frustrated Franklin (21-2, 14 KOs) kept trying but couldn’t throw enough punches to win the rounds.
Joshua suffered consecutive decisive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, the first match that cost him the title.
