The Philippines’ world-famous marine life has once again taken to the stage at this year’s Anilao Underwater Shootout, one of the top underwater photography contests dedicated to close-ups. Taking place from May 22 to 26 in Mabini, Batangas, the competition brings together divers, amateur and professional underwater photographers, and marine enthusiasts in one location. This year’s edition reopened to international participants for the first time since the COVID pandemic.
This year’s jury members are famous underwater photographers Aaron Vuong, Brook Peterson, Franco Banfi, Raphael FernandezAnd Scott “Gutsy” Tuason. Anilao Underwater Shooting is organized by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT).
