Pro Platinum to Executive Platinum

Finally, American Airlines offered to buy two TPG employees from Platinum Pro to Executive Platinum. Both of these employees were eligible for Platinum Pro status through February 29, 2024. These offers will upgrade that status to Executive Platinum through March 31, 2024.

In the first case, a TPG employee lacks about 40,000 Loyalty Points compared to the 200,000 Loyalty Points required for a Platinum Executive. Her offer is $2,319 or 232,000 miles.

But here’s the curve — in the second offer, a TPG employee is about 30,000 Loyalty Points short of Executive Platinum status. Americans offered him the Executive Platinum for $3,379 or 338,000 miles. That price is more expensive than the first offer and he has more Loyalty Points.

So if you are closer to the state, your offer may not be cheaper.

Additionally, employees who do not currently have American Airlines status are not offered targeted offers to purchase up to entry-level AAdvantage Gold.
