Al Jazeera: We are “greening” ourselves to extinction

h/t rh; The Greens are waking up to the fact that many companies and their political friends are unscrupulous greedy profiteers who have no real intention of trying to reduce CO2 emissions.

We are ‘greening’ ourselves to extinction

Doomsday investors are pushing us into fake climate solutions that are making climate change worse.

Over a decade ago, investment experts James Altucher and Douglas Season wrote a book for The Wall Street Journal titled Investing in the Apocalypse. They argue that the apocalypse is a lucrative opportunity for those who know how to “alleviate fear,” when others are panicking. They assert that when disaster strikes, investors should approach it on the grounds that “no matter how bad things seem, they really aren’t.”

Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, they advised investing in large pharmaceutical companies as a strategy to profit from the global pandemic. They also encourage putting money into renewable energy systems while boosting oil production.

Worse, governments and corporations have teamed up to turn the apocalypse into a money-making opportunity. They have rushed to offer the wrong solutions to the climate crisis: from the push to replace fuel-powered vehicles with electric motors, to so-called climate-smart agriculture, to protected areas for nature conservation and large tree planting projects to offset carbon.

All this trick is called “going green” and it is designed to profit from climate fear, not to avert climate change. While guaranteeing high returns, this deception equates to genocide hundreds of millions of people will die from the effects of climate change over the next century for everything. To be very bad.

In the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo, guardians of a national park funded by the US and German governments have also participated in violent attacks on the indigenous Batwa people living in its territory. A 2022 report by Minority Rights found evidence that At least 20 members of the community were killed and at least 15 women raped during the forced eviction campaigns..

In the full article above, author Al Jazeera cited some of the terrible carbon credit schemes in Africa, claimed by armed militia allegedly sent into the jungle to commit atrocitiesto ward off locals and help prepare the forests to qualify as a uninhabited forests are suitable for the production of carbon credits.

Trump hates film producer Michael Moore also thinks corporations and politicians have betrayed the green movement in 2020. According to memory, his documentary “Planet of the Humans” seems to have started as a attempts to expose the suppression of green technology with fossil fuels, but ends up accusing some of the green leaders of unscrupulous profiteers and unscrupulous greed.

The question is, can some of the remaining true green believers do anything to stop the planetary mining being carried out in their name?

History shows that the answer is no.

Get biofuel. Even Greenpeace openly hates current generation biofuels today, but they seem powerless to stop it.

Why we oppose government biofuel mandate | CUSTOMERS’ POSTS ONLY

Jake Roos from Don’t Burn Our Future explains the damage caused by farming for fuel and what the Government should do instead.

If the government’s plans come to fruition, from April 1, 2023, our future could be engulfed in flames. Unless we change course, a new law will require domestic fuel suppliers to add a percentage of biofuel to gasoline and diesel.

Mandatory use of biofuels sounds like great news. It looks like our government is doing something to reduce New Zealand’s dependence on fossil fuels and reduce CO2 emissions. But sadly not: just because something has ‘bio’ in its name, doesn’t mean it’s green.

The ‘sustainable biofuels mission’ is not green. However, with good intentions, this mandate will exacerbate climate impacts and further increase our food and fuel costs.

Of course, many greens once supported biofuels, but thanks to some powerful website tweaks today you’d struggle to find proof of that.

What is up? In 2008, biofuels caused a major global hunger crisis. If you’re not paying attention, it’s because you live in a rich country. But the problem is actually very real, for people living in poor countries.

Confidential report: biofuels cause food crisis

World Bank internal research deals a blow to plant energy dynamics

Biofuels have forced a 75% increase in global food prices – much higher than previously estimated – according to a secret study World Bank Report obtained by Guardian.

This damning unpublished review is based on the most detailed analysis of the crisis to date, conducted by an internationally respected economist at the global financial authority.

This figure completely contradicts the US government’s claim that plant-based fuels contribute less than 3% to rising food prices. It would put additional pressure on governments in Washington and across Europe, which have already turned to plant-based fuels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce reliance on imported oil.

Senior development sources believe the report, completed in April, was not released to avoid embarrassing President George Bush.

“It would put the World Bank in a political flashpoint with the White House,” one person said yesterday.

Despite the disgusting and ongoing problems caused by biofuels, the pressure on food prices, you can still buy E10 or E15 gasoline or whatever at your local gas station – at your discretion. My opinion is because there is a lot of money and because politicians are wary of offending those voters and donors who are profiting from the biofuel mandate.

If green can’t stop the biofuel boom many of them once supported, it won’t stop, in my opinion, any of the other fake green schemes they helped launch. . Only time and public outrage will have any chance of limiting or stopping the ugly money-making schemes that climate activists and green idealists have helped fuel. out to the world, but now powerless to stop it.
