Mobile Subscribers Who are waiting for the launch of 5G services, will be pleased to hear that two of the biggest services telecommunication service providers in india – Airtel and Reliance Jio – started rolling out 5G services from October 1, 2022. In the initial phase, only a few cities can access the 5G network. With the rollout of new 5G services, users will be able to access faster Internet speed, better network penetration, more stable connection, watch ultra-high definition 4K video and more.
Several smartphone companies have also introduced 5G-enabled phones. There are a number of phones from the budget segment to the high-end segment like SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G, Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ & S22 Ultra, iPhone 13 Pro Max and many more. Most of these phones have specified whether they support 5G or not. First, go to Settings on your Android smartphone or iPhone.
There, go to the ‘Wi-Fi and Network’ option. In some phones it may be ‘Network and Internet’ or just ‘Network’.
Next, tap on the ‘SIM’ or ‘SIM and networks’ option.
Scroll down the page and then click on the ‘Preferred network type’ option.
If your smartphone supports 5G networks, you will see a 5G option along with 4G and 3G. However, otherwise the 5G option won’t be there and this means your phone won’t work with 5G, leaving you with no choice but to buy a 5G-enabled smartphone.
