The hacker calling himself Sam Curry (@samwcyo) even asked if there was any way he could contact Google regarding the matter. Taken to his Twitter account he shared a screenshot and wrote, “It’s been more than 3 weeks since Google randomly sent me $249,999 and I still haven’t received anything on the support ticket. Is there any way to do it? can i contact @Google? (it’s okay if you don’t want it back…).” Of course, the payment is in dollars (just under a quarter of a million dollars) and when done round in rupees, it will become crores.

According to one Reported by NPR, Google confirmed that it had accidentally made the payment and said it was due to human error. “Our team recently paid the wrong party due to human error. We appreciate that the affected partner promptly notified us and we are working to fix the bug,” a Google spokesperson told NPR.
