French unions Union des Navigants de L’Aviation Civile and Syndicat des Navigants du Groupe Air France have warned that a strike action could take place over the Christmas and New Year period, amid a dispute over what work event.
Unions filed strike notices after a collective agreement between employees and management — first laid out in 1999 and renegotiated this fall — was not renewed when the agreement was reached. This expires in October 2022.
Without a collective agreement, the airline has the final say on the work schedule of flight crew and flight staff.
