Set five beacons and the old beacons will disappear
Blue map beacons are useful in Elden Ring – until they don’t. Here’s a trick to get rid of unwanted beacons you’ve lost track of before they clog your compass too much.
This takes a bit of setup for anyone who isn’t actively playing Elden Ring right now, but the game basically lets you put Beacon on the world map (will show up on your compass while you’re exploring) and also map marker (basically stamp with different icons). For whatever reason, there’s a way to delete all your markers at once – something many of us will never be willing to do! – but there is no similar option to remove every beacon in one pass. That said, the community has a solution.
In a Reddit meme advice thread, user Adamblack805 calmly pointed out that when they can’t find their missing beacons in Elden Ringthey just”put the years down again and delete them that way. “Wait, backup! As someone who has only had a few marks on the field at any given time in my 80 hours of running, this has never opened my eyes.
Whether I threw down a quick signal to do-list in a crowded area and then let a snowball be a great distraction on an almighty quest, or I just absentmindedly leave a lighthouse while searching for an item, there are definitely moments where I’ve tried and failed to identify these little blue pests that I had dropped somewhere on the map.
Get out of the way, this one Elden Ring The trick works – you can put five beacons side by side, make your original MIA beacon(s) disappear, then manually delete the new ones. Take a few seconds and you’re done. No search party needed.
