It seems A story about the plague is preparing to bring its gritty nightmare to an entirely new medium, as Team Asobo’s stealth adventures will be adapted into a live-action TV series at some point in the future.
Details of the new production are flimsy, with news first reported by French Allocine Store, before being confirmed by the show’s new director, Mathieu Turi. Turi already knows her way around one or two creepy encounters, having previously acted in horror movies Hostile (2017) and Winding (2020), and also directed episodes of Rosemary’s Baby TV series.
“I am honored to be working on a TV series adaptation of A story about the plague” Turi wrote on Twitter. “Thanks to Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment for their trust. I can’t wait to bring Amicia and Hugo’s journey to the screen! ”
