We have to find a way to understand why Bjørn Lomborg’s climate arguments work – in favor of that?

According to Sydney Academic Noel Castre, “Denialism is in retreat”. But the climate is warm Bjørn Lomborg’s arguments resonate inexplicably with so many people.

Professor of Society & Environment, University of Technology Sydney“Crisis” is an incredibly powerful word, so it’s interesting to see how the phrase “climate crisis” has become part of the world. lingua franca.

Some are tempted to morally occupy the highlands and hint at the climate crisis so great that it could overshadow all others. This is understandable but not prudent.
It’s important to respect other points of view and negotiate a way forward. For example, consider how the author Bjørn Lomborg yes question climate emergency by assuming it is not the primary threat.

I’m looking for a professor Noel Castre’s interesting post because he seems too focused on it Bjørn Lomborg.
Lomborg’s genius is exposing how flimsy the evidence is that global warming is a problem. For example, Lomborg’s 2021 article on heatwave deaths showed that the net benefit of warming, reducing cold deaths, is much higher than any slight increase in heat-related deaths – even in warm countries like India.
My guess is that Professor Castree’s academic colleagues continued to drop Lomborg during his hearing. Obviously this might just be to get ahead of Castree, but Lomborg is good at reaching people.
If Sydney scholars do indeed regularly read and openly discuss Lomborg’s work, climate alarmism is in more trouble than I realize.
