In front of Splatoon 3 World Premiere Splatfest this weekend, Nintendo data researchers think they’ve discovered something special. It could obviously be a official Splatoon world map, discovered along with the texture files associated with the Ammo Knights in-game shop.
The Splatoon series has always been brimming with interesting lore, but this is possibly one of the most exciting discoveries – assuming that’s the real deal. Detect @RAMDRAGONS and marked by @rassicas on Twitter, it looks like an altered real-world map and is sure to please Splatoon lore deep divers:
The same source explains that there is no text on this “the earth is normal but flooded” unfortunately the map is actually decipherable.
You can see the map for yourself in Splatoon 3’s World Premiere Splatfest demo by going into Sheldon’s Ammo Knights shop – it’s on the back wall (just below the word ‘Weapons’ in the image below) , though be aware that it pretty blur using the depth of field effect.

Remember, this is just fan theory for now as it’s actually a Splatoon™ World Map, but it seems likely. Or perhaps Sheldon is a map enthusiast and skipped over our universe one afternoon to draw a world map for his wall?
