Abortion is now likely to be illegal or severely restricted about half of the United Statesand it’s immediately illegal in 13 states with activation laws, which have been put in place to ban second abortions Roe v. Many of us have mothers and grandmothers who fought for an abortion before us, and now our generation is facing its own battle. It’s important to remember that even if access to abortion is restricted or made illegal, that won’t end abortion — it will instead. safe abortion.

We’re facing a long and difficult battle with no quick fix in sight, but if you’re also upset and want to take action, we’ve put together resources for you to use. as the starting point. If you can, consider donating to reproductive and abortion rights funds in states that will have an immediate ban, as well as support national efforts. Here are the places you can do it.
Alabama, Mississippi and the Deep South: Yellowhammer Foundation providing access to reproductive care to those in need in the Deep South, including funding for abortions, assistance with travel and accommodation, access to emergency contraception, referrals to services local health, etc.
Mississippi: the Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Foundation services to all Mississippi residents, even if they do not want abortions in Mississippi. This fund provides financial support and practical care to people who wish to have an abortion.

North Dakota: WIN Foundation provides grants to eligible people in North Dakota to help reduce the cost of abortion services. This fund is intended to help those who are unable to have an abortion and assist with travel, accommodation, childcare, etc.
Oklahoma: OKRCRC’s Roe Fund financial assistance to people who want abortions in Oklahoma. The foundation also has volunteers who help support patients by acting as clinic facilitators.
South Dakota: The Justice through the Empowerment Network works to provide support to people who want to have an abortion by sponsoring the abortion and helping with accommodation, transportation, child care, interpreters, etc.
Tennessee: The Mountain climbing brigade is an abortion doula organization and fund run by volunteers. It aims to help the people of Tennessee get accurate information about abortion, emotional support, practical support and financial assistance.
Texas: In Texas, ActBlue set up a donation page divided into 10 abortion funds. You can choose to donate equally between them or donate individually.
Utah: The Utah Abortion Foundation provides financial and practical assistance to people in Utah seeking abortion care.
Wyoming: Chelsea Foundation provides Wyoming residents with information about abortion providers and provides financial assistance to those in need. If they can provide assistance, they will notify the clinic and pay them directly.
Arkansas: There is only one procedural abortion clinic in Arkansas. The Arkansas Abortion Support Network provide direct logistical and financial support, which is especially important in a situation with so few options.
Idaho: The Northwest Abortion Access Fund funds are available to callers of hotlines in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska, which will cover formalities and logistics costs.
Kentucky: The Kentucky Health Justice Network provide for those who are looking for financial assistance, transportation, interpretation, etc.
Louisiana: The New Orleans Abortion Foundation provides funding and resources to anyone who wants an abortion. Its hotline is also open to anyone in the Gulf South and they can be reached at 844-44-ABORT.
Women’s Reproductive Rights Support Project (WRRAP): WRRAP is the largest national, independent, nonprofit abortion fund available. They provide financial assistance to people who want an abortion as well as give money directly to pre-screened clinics and doctors.
National Network for Abortion Funds: This all-inclusive list connects you to specific abortion funds for certain states. Each fund helps support the specific needs of the communities it serves.
National Women’s Law Center: The National Women’s Law Center is comprised of experts, advocates, and lawyers who fight for women’s rights through policy and the courts.
National Abortion Federation: Every donation to the National Abortion Federation supports abortion providers. NAF member clinics ensure that abortion care is accessible where it is needed most.
Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood provides abortion care to anyone who may need it, regardless of age, gender identity, immigration status, or ability to pay.
Indigenous women rise: Indigenous women in the United States face even more difficulties than most safe abortions — and they are more 2.5 times raped or sexually assaulted than any other ethnic group in the United States. The growing Indigenous Women’s Abortion Fund is open to all Indigenous women who want an abortion.
The Brigid Alliance: The Brigid Coalition is a one-stop shop to help everyone get access to abortion. The Alliance will book, coordinate, and pay for travel, transportation and childcare for all those in need of an abortion.
Just a pill: Just the Pill allows people seeking abortions to order abortion pills online to take in the comfort of their homes. It provides financial assistance to those who need it.
