Updated iPhone 14 camera with autofocus coming soon? Potentially the biggest upgrade since iPhone 11
The upcoming Apple iPhone 14, scheduled to launch in September, could feature the biggest front-facing camera upgrade since the iPhone 11.
The US tech giant’s upcoming smartphone iPhone 14, expected to be announced in September, is likely to feature the biggest front-facing camera upgrade since the iPhone 11.
According to GSM Arena, the above information was provided by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. For the first time in the company’s history, the selfie shooter will feature autofocus, eliminating the FF solution. It will also come with a 6P lens and a bright f/1.9 aperture.
Switching to AF will improve the versatility of the front camera, as people increasingly rely on the front camera for both serious video calls and silly social media dances.
The main lens supplier will be Genius, while the CCM (CMOS camera module) will be manufactured by LG Innotek and Cowell.
According to GSM Arena, Kuo has said that the sensor will once again be a product of Sony. There is no word on whether it will be any different from the current 12MP modules of the Japanese manufacturer.
Still, even without changing it, bringing in an improved lens and proper autofocus seems like a big improvement, the outlet reports.
