The US Bank Altitude Connect card has a lot to offer cardholders. Its rewards are enticing and cover a wide variety of travel purchases, it’s relatively cheap, and comes with a bunch of useful benefits.
It does have an annual fee of $95, though, but the rewards make it relatively easy. If you only use the card for gas and ignore its other bonus categories, consumers will need to spend at least $2,500 on the pump.
If that sounds expensive, keep in mind that gas prices are currently around $4.60 a gallon. The average US household could spend up to $5,000 on gas this year, which means $200 back in your pocket with this card. Those are a few gas tanks you don’t need to worry about.
And again, keep in mind that this card earns you rewards for groceries, streaming, dining, and car rentals, etc. So if you use the card for everything, it’s easy. pay more fees. Plus, you won’t have to worry about your first year’s fees with the card.
In addition to the lucrative rewards program, it’s a Visa Signature card, so it includes some useful protections, plus an annual $30 streaming credit and a registration fee credit for Global Entry or TSA. PreCheck. If you’re looking for a strong casual travel card, or just looking to earn some cash back at the pump, you can do much worse than the US Bank Altitude Connect.
