Sajid Javid assesses the gender treatment of children
The Health Secretary has been considering changing the law to allow a GIDS review led by Dr Hilary Cass, former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, to access the database about children who had received GIDS treatment to see if they later regretted it. There are treatments, such as puberty blockers. It’s not clear how the process for granting access to information will work.
