AUGUST, Ga. – The Masters 2022 has kicked off and is going on with a stacked leaderboard featuring many of the best golfers and not much air between them. The course has dwindled to 52 golfers entering Round 3, which makes the third set of 18 holes all the more important as the real contenders for the green jacket are trying to distance themselves from the course at the Golf Club. Augusta Country.

Anticipation has reached a fever in advance masters when Tiger Woods decided to play competitive golf for the first time in 17 months. He made the most of that decision, post 1 under 71 with a few birdies and some side saves in a classic Tiger-like performance one might hope to see as he’s been under a lengthy layoff. In fact, it’s quite a remarkable achievement given the obstacles Woods has faced over the past year or so. However, Woods faltered in Round 2 and now they have faced 36-hole leader Scottie Scheffler 9 shots.

The world number 1 golfer played in the round of the tournament 5 under 67 on Friday, losing five four-way defeats by three under. Justin Thomas, who recovered from Thursday’s tough game with a 67 fit in Round 2, is seven strokes behind Scheffler. 2021 champion Hideki Matsuyama (-3) and 2020 champion Dustin Johnson (-2) could be Scheffler’s strongest opponents.

Beyond Tiger – in the Featured Group for the third day in a row at the Masters so you can watch every shot from his third 18-hole set – there’s so much else to watch this week that it can sometimes be overwhelmed. Don’t worry: We got you through the falling temperatures and swirling winds at Augusta National on Friday.
