Errol Spence Jr. hope Terrell Gausha stops Tim Tszyu’s hype train: “Let’s go man, they hyped the guy up too much”

Errol Spence Jr was annoyed with public opinion and the nationwide spotlight was on Tim Tszyu.
The 154-pound contender is treated a lot like a star in his native Australia, due to a combination of his father, Kostya Tszyu, and the skills he’s shown in the ring so far. .
However, even as Tszyu is working his way up to the number one candidate in the WBO sanctioning body, Spence Jr refuses to believe the hype.
In just a few short hours, Tszyu will be trying to prove his high ranking and considerable buzz around his name as he faces off against fellow contender, Terrell Gausha, on his debut at the World Cup. America at the Armory, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Though Tszyu fell short against another real opponent, bettors still stood firmly in his corner, considering him a sizable favorite of the night. Despite the betting world and the whole of Australia expecting Tszyu to win, Spence Jr still stood by his former Olympic teammate.
“Let’s go, buddy!” Spence Jr. said on his social media account. “They hyped the guy up too much.”
In 2012, both Gausha and Spence Jr proudly represented the red, white, and blue colors of the American flag at the Olympic Games. At the unpaid rank, Gausha compiled a lot of championships in the amateur arena. As a professional, however, Gausha’s career had mixed results.
Initially, Gausha organized the competition, racing to achieve a perfect record over 20 matches. Since then, the 34-year-old has struggled. From 2017 to 2020, Gausha went 1-2-1. While it wasn’t the outcome he wanted, Gausha was back in the winners’ circle, roughly stopping Jamontay Clark in the second round of their March 2021 contest.
