5 tips to back up files and protect your photos and videos

Joe DiGiovanna is creating an incredible 30-year lapse of New York City; so if anyone asks for a proper file backup strategy, my money goes to him. In this helpful video guide, he shares five great tips to make sure you’re backing up your files properly and efficiently, in case disaster strikes.

Coming to you from Joe DiGiovanna with B&H Photos and Videos, this great video tutorial will show you five helpful tips to make sure your backup strategy is strong and effective. One thing I’ve noticed a lot of friends don’t do is regularly back up their files off-site. Of course, having multiple copies of your data is a great first step, but if you keep all of those copies in one location, you’ll be across the creek without needing to paddle if you ever run into one. something like robbery or flood. Personally, I’m a huge fan of Backblaze. It’s just six bucks a month for completely unlimited backups and it’s saved me a few times when I accidentally deleted the wrong thing. It runs constantly in the background, so I know I always have the most up-to-date backup (though you can schedule it if you want more control over your bandwidth). Watch the video above for the full summary from DiGiovanna.
