Coming to you from Justin MottThis great video tutorial discusses five things to consider to improve your street photography. Of them, I think perhaps the most important is to have a good patience. The mistake many new photographers make is creating images by running after the action. This can sometimes result in beautiful images, but the point is that in pursuing that action you don’t really consider lighting and composition. By finding an interesting composition with good lighting and waiting for the action to develop in it, you stand a better chance of creating a more complete photo. This is why so many street photographers rely on rangefinders so that they can not only see what is happening in the frame, but also what is happening outside the frame. This allows them to find a spot and watch as the action develops so they are ready when that perfect moment occurs. Check out the video above for a full rundown from Mott.
