5 reasons why Lightroom is a better choice for landscape photo editing

Landscape photography often requires an above-average amount of post-processing, and for advanced editing work, most photographers turn to Photoshop. However, that is not always the best choice. This great video tutorial features an experienced landscape photographer discussing five reasons why Lightroom is often a better choice for landscape photo editing.

Coming to you from Alister Benn’s Expressive photography, this interesting video discusses why Lightroom is sometimes a better choice for landscape photo editing. I generally agree with Benn. Of course, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t cases where you need Photoshop’s more advanced capabilities. However, I find that when I’m not sure where I want to edit a photo, Lightroom is the better choice by far. In Photoshop, edits often require you to add an adjustment layer, which can be complicated and time consuming when you’re just trying things out. On the other hand, Lightroom puts all the controls right in front, making it easy to experiment, which is why I like it better. Check out the video above for the full recap from Benn.
