Years ago, I spent a summer living in Paris. During my stay in the city, I found an apartment in the Marais and resolved to live like a local. I regularly stop at the corner lingerie store and walk around to really get to know the city for myself. During walks along the wide boulevards of St. Germain and through the streets along the Tuileries I came across stylish Parisian women and take note of the clothes they are wearing.
Since Paris is a city where locals walk everywhere, clothing always balances style, style, and comfort. So I quickly learned that the high heels I packed in my suitcase weren’t very “French”. Since then, I have given up on wearing any uncomfortable shoes. Instead, I take inspiration from the stylish Parisian women I’ve met and add their work shoe styles to my own wardrobe.
