I just found out Freshpet, I live in Florida and I can buy it at Publix & Supertarget. Both have refrigerators in their pet food section. You can get the kind that you slice or in the bag in which case it must be refrigerated. It’s not as expensive as The Farmers Dog & my dog loves it.

I use Royal Canin, low fat, good for the digestive tract from my vet. A dog will not starve itself, it will eat once it realizes that is all it will earn. That dog is working for you. Be strong, you are in charge.

i feed my yorkies Cesar 1/2 box per meal (2 meals/day) and add fresh cheese in the morning and boiled sweet potatoes in the afternoon. 1/2 boiled egg per week. Cucumber, pumpkin, apple for snack. It is very important that the last meal is before 5pm. I got this recommendation from my vet and am very happy with it.

I have a Shih Tzu and a Morkie and had a hard time feeding them until I switched Cesar. I get both ‘wet’ in small packages and also dry. In the morning, I give them a wet pack and at night I give them another pack with a dry pack on top. A bit more expensive but good value for money as they eat well now.

we give us Blue Buffalo Brown Rice Chicken for Small Dogs, 1/4 cup in the morning & 1/4 cup in the evening. Heating in the microwave for 10 seconds makes her smell better. Also cut back on junk food, we like the crunchy part of the lettuce. Exercising, hiking and getting her favorite toys will help.
