We’re not kidding when we say we have a ton of nominations, and as a result, shorting the list is no easy feat. Even so, here’s our biggest list of ‘Reader’s Suggestions‘yet, with 24 The title caught our attention. But don’t worry, even if your suggestion doesn’t make it to the list, it still looks at us wistfully. Maybe season 6 will pass soon – this To be the first time we did this year and the first time in over a year. And we want to hear from all of you! So, if you still think we’re missing something, or you have other suggestions, follow the instructions at the bottom of the article to nominate more!
As always, thank you so much for responding to our rally call. As always, we’ve discounted the nominations for the games we’ve reviewed and put together the following list of the games we missed. Each entry has one or two brief user comments (slightly edited in some cases for spelling and brevity), along with a trailer to give you some highlights from the game. . And, as soon as it’s over, you can vote in our poll and check out what games others have played. Maybe your next favorite is right here on this list – and maybe ours too.

Need more playable mice in your video game? And not just the cute variety? Ross Farrey has Metroidvania for you (and us) in Tails of Iron:

Your job is to react quickly with the correct action. Blows, blocks and parries have a heavy force that gives each encounter an interesting visceral feel. As you explore the kingdom, smashing bewilderment and dying so much, the once ruined land comes to life with song, colors and changing landscapes. It’s so cute.”

Beautiful, blocky 3D pixels Fire Peak make it eye-catching, but there’s so much more to it than the flames, as Raymond Benson pointed out:
“My pick is Bonfire Peaks. It’s a challenging puzzle game about moving boxes to a fireplace. The game’s vibe is relaxing and its puzzles are incredibly clever, full of ‘can you do that all the time?’ The underworld itself is also a better puzzle that involves using rewards from completed puzzles to continue.”

Everyone deserves some love in their life, and Speed dating for ghosts shows us that even the undead can find love in the afterlife. McGloomy explains the appeal of this game:
“Speed Dating for Ghosts doesn’t disappoint as it does exactly what it says on the tin, and more. I was expecting a quirky dating sim, but to my surprise, the game also mentions that. darker and more melancholy sides of death and the afterlife .Doodle art style, little use of color and subtle background music create a minimalist atmosphere that allows your imagination to fill fill the void – while players gain a better understanding of the ghosts they’re dating.”

Is the “compelling personal drama” on the move? MutazioneThe lovely minimalism and mutant characters hide a heartfelt story, as McGloomy reveals:
“Mutazione was released a year ago and has always felt a bit underrated on Switch to me. Inspired by everything from Studio Ghibli movies to TV series, the game tells the story of one girl. visit an island inhabited by a (mostly) friendly community of mutants.The story of its life is built around greater mysteries and the game’s interesting characters make it become a great choice for fans of games like Night in the forest. In the months since Mutazione’s release, there have been two full fanservice updates that show just how much interest the developers have in this game and its world. “

SumireThe critical acclaim isn’t just due to its stunning graphics, as Pramath demonstrates:
“I don’t remember the last time a game took away so much of my emotions – Sumire is incredible on so many levels. It’s a very sad game, but it’s also incredibly hopeful. core themes and messages resonate and are globally recognizable.The text is rated as simple but very, VERY powerful.The characters are all the same and the dialogue is authentic and makes for the cast. The staff feels real. , the gameplay is great too, there are some well thought out puzzles and legally enjoyable play loops.”

Akysys Games has a pretty unique library of games and Tobias Ayling things we missed a dungeon-crawl gem Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi:
“This game simply creates sophisticated character and threat. Take an old-fashioned first-person dungeon crawler, remove imaginary pitfalls, and stack it in the suspense. 70s Japanese pulp parody. Inserts a subplot around capitalist worker exploitation, some humorous nods to Japanese game staples, and a mix of audio , the graphics and system design are impeccable, and it all makes for a beautifully sinister whole.Finally, use thumbnail character bios and brief conversations to shed light on the depth of the game. terror and anguish choke the world and you’ll get to Yomi. Your job is to make it live.”

Rhythmic games are fewer and far fewer than they are today, but Ilya Zverev has a game that is both short and a tribute to some of our favorite games from the ’90s. Old School Musical:
“I’d recommend Old School Musical. It’s short, easy to get into, and a game with absolute rhythm. You go through various 90s homage games, but you don’t play them: instead , you press the buttons to the beat of the music while the characters are playing the game for you. Miss one button press they get hit. The replayability is very good, there is an infinite chicken world and you can try beating the game on higher difficulty levels.”

Tired of playing against 5 or more people? Pico . Park allows you to work together with larger groups of friends and is full of cute, photogenic cats! Ilya Zverev thinks this is one we will love:
“Pico Park is a wonder of co-op multiplayer. It’s one of the few Switch games where you can play with 5 or more players and not play against each other. Instead, you collaborate to solve dozens of foundational puzzles. Each one of you has to perform perfectly, leading to a lot of setbacks and laughs in the process. And all the characters are cats!”
