The Witcher Season 3 is in production – Destructoid

There’s More Netflix The Witcher on the road. The show’s official account confirmed that The Witcher Season 3 is in production today, with a shot of the core cast and an official plot synopsis.
The previous one showed Henry Cavill, Freya Allen, and Anya Chalotra sitting on chairs in an icy, snowy landscape. These three people — playing Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer respectively — are predictably at the heart of things. It comes with confirmation that yes, a third season has officially been produced.

Where The Witcher go from here
In a follow-up tweet, the account gave the official plot summary for The Witcher Part 3. It is as follows:
“As the monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt has taken Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect her newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy her. cancel it. Trusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more of the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they find themselves on a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and betrayal. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever. ”
It’s not much to go, save for the fact that the trio are headed to Aretuza. However, it seems to be continuing the main momentum of The Witcher Part 2: Ciri’s power.
Cavill previously expressed in an interview that he hopes Season 3 will stay true to the books, “without too much in the way of diversion.” The Witcher However, on Netflix has regularly segregated the books in interesting ways.
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has previously hinted that a Netflix adaptation is thinking very, very far ahead. That may not keep the series up to the games. But at least it looks like we’re still in the store for more Witcher in the future, both from Netflix and from CD Projekt. Good news for killer monster fans. No release date has been set for The Witcher Part 3 has just been mentioned.
