Hyundai has released initial details on the updated Ioniq 5 EV for 2024, which features an N Line trim variant alongside increased battery capacity and EV range, along with design and equipment updates .

The battery capacity of the Ioniq 5 has increased from 77.4 kWh To 84.0 kWh, its available range will therefore increase, according to Hyundai, although no specific range figures are quoted for this update. For reference, the Max variant of Ioniq 5 for Malaysia – with a 72.6 kWh battery – providing a range of up to 430 km for the WLTP testing protocol.

Updates to the Ioniq 5’s exterior include a redesigned V-shaped trim along with updated front and rear bumpers to emphasize the model’s “low and wide SUV stance.”

These changes have slightly increased the overall length of the car by 20 mm to 4,655 mm, while other main dimensions such as width of 1,890 mm, height of 1,605 mm and wheelbase of 3,000 mm remain unchanged compared to before. Also changed is the rear spoiler, which is 50 mm longer, and the Ioniq 5 gets new wheels with a new aerodynamic design.
