2023 Renault Zoe EV launched in Malaysia – 2 variants; range up to 395 km, 136 PS, 245 Nm; from RM165k
TC Euro Cars has officially launched an upgraded version Renault Zoe in Malaysia, with final price now available for two variants available, both have been renamed. Referring to the spec sheet, the base option is now called ZE50 R110 (formerly Zen R110), while the top-end version is ZE50 R135 (formerly Intens R135).
As for the price, the R110 retails at RM165,000 on the uninsured road, while the R135 is priced at RM179,000. A three-year, 100,000-km vehicle warranty is included with each purchase, and Zoe’s EV batteries are covered by an eight-year, 160,000-km warranty with a minimum capacity of 70%.
Both variants have the newer ZE 50 battery with a power capacity of 52 kWh, which provides a range of up to 395 km in the R110, while the R135 can only go 386 km. However, the latter electric motor is rated at 136 PS (134 hp or 100 kW) and 245 Nm of torque, higher than the 109 PS (107 hp or 80 kW) and 225 Nm of R110.
Charge times are identical, with a full charge using the AC input (Type 2) requiring three hours at 22 kW or 9.5 hours at 7.4 kW. Electric vehicles (EVs) also support DC fast charging (CCS2) at 50 kW, which can charge the battery from 0-80% charge in 70 minutes.
In terms of equipment, the R110 comes with full-LED headlights, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, 16-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels (195/55 tires), automatic air conditioning, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, 7-inch Easy Link touchscreen infotainment system (supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), 6 speakers, black fabric seats, electric rearview mirror and rear reverse sensor.
The R135 builds on the R110 by adding front fog lights, a different 15-spoke wheel design (still a 16-inch model), offline navigation, rear USB charging port, black fabric and leather upholstery, Electric rearview mirror, electric adjustment. -folding rearview mirror, front parking sensor, reverse camera and hands-free parking assist.
Safety kit for both variants includes four airbags, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and a range of passive systems (ESC, traction control, ABS, brake assist, departure assist) slope). There’s no automatic emergency braking system, but the R135 adds systems like automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring.
Customers can order the R110 in Solid Black or White, with the R135 being offered in a wider color palette that includes Black, Blue, Purple and Red. TC Euro Cars will also sell you home chargers if you need them, including a 7 kW charger for RM6,250 (including basic installation) or a 22 kW charger (this will be covered). set to 11 kW if power supply is not feasible) for RM6,950. There is also the option to add Raytech FX 5mil security color for RM1,600.
