2023 Honda CB750 Hornet launched at Intermot

After a series of teasers over the past year, Honda CB750 Hornet 2023 was officially launched at Intermot exhibition in Germany. While a series of Hornet concept drawings are rendered and the design is modern and aggressive, the actual CB750 Hornet is somewhat off-putting.

Honda says everything about the CB750 Hornet is new, starting with the diamond steel frame with minimalist body panels. In keeping with the bare essentials of a sporty design, the CB750 Hornet is said to weigh 190 kg and have a seat height of 795 mm.

The engine is also completely new, liquid-cooled parallel type with upper cam and 755 cc capacity. A 270-degree crank gives the same output as the V-twin, and output is claimed to be 90 hp at 9,500 rpm and 74.4 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

With a wired throttle, the CB750 Hornet comes with four driving modes – Sport, Standard, Rain and User. There’s also Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and wheel control with all user-adjustable parameters.

Essential information is displayed via a 5-inch TFT-LCD screen with four user-selectable display modes. Smartphone connectivity is standard with Honda Smartphone Voice Control combined with the Honda RoadSync app to control navigation, calls, messages and music.

Suspension is provided by Showa, with a 41 mm diameter SFF-BP upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock with Honda’s Pro-Link suspension link at the rear. The suspension of the CB750 Hornet is non-adjustable for preload on the monoshock.

Braking is done with a pair of 296 mm discs at the front with Nissin four-piston calipers and a single 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard equipment. Wheel sizes are 17 inches, rubber coated 120/70 and 160/60, front and rear respectively.

The LED system is used throughout on the CB750 Hornet along with a self-destructing turn signal with a capacity of 15.2 liters carried in the tank. There are four color options for the CB750 Hornet: white, black, gray and yellow, and a range of Honda accessories from the official catalog.
