At the end of 2018, BMW Motorrad introduced the M Motorsport automotive range strategy for its motor brand, which included the offering of M special equipment and M Performance Parts on various BMW models. The first bike in the M series is the BMW M 1000 RR, which debuted in September 2020 and is the base bike for the BMW World Superbike Team from 2021, as well as being used by many racing teams around the world.

On Tuesday, BMW Motorrad USA announced the updated BMW M 1000 RR 2023, as well as the second model in the two-wheeler M Motorsport lineup and the first M Roadster: the BMW M 1000 R 2023 – MR for short. Both motorcycles have an expected date of arrival in the US market of January 2023.

With regards to the upgrade for the 2023 BMW M 1000 RR, BMW is touting “increasing downforce and improving top speed in one package” due to advancements in the field of aerodynamics.
A newly designed windscreen made of visible carbon fiber with a taller windscreen enhances top speed along with optimized airflow around the driver. The new crank also adds the built-in protection of the M.
The M Winglets on the front spoiler have also been completely revised to produce significantly more aerodynamic force than before – both when driving upright and when leaning into corners. The tendency to get wheeled and therefore the need for traction control to kick in is also reduced, and riders can achieve more extreme pitch angles or higher cornering speeds at the same pitch.
Another central point in optimizing the entire aerodynamic package is around the front wheel area. For the first time in BMW Motorrad history, carbon fiber brake cooling air ducts are integrated into the new front fender, optimized to improve airflow around the fork feet and brake calipers to reduce vehicle temperature. M brakes by up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit in track performance.
The M Aero wheel wrap, included in the M 1000 RR M Competition package, is also made of visible carbon fiber, reducing drag even further – especially at speeds above 155 mph.
Other new features of the BMW M 1000 RR 2023 include:

2023 BMW M 1000 CHEAP
BMW Motorrad says the all-new BMW M 1000 R offers “a dynamic driving experience in the road car segment traditionally reserved for supercars.”
“The MR is the second M model from BMW Motorrad,” said Ralf Mölleken, Project Manager for 4-cylinder models. “Based on the existing S 1000 R and S 1000 RR, the product nature of the M 1000 R – MR for short – has been tailored to meet the specific requirements of a super sports road car. The dynamism of riding speaks for itself both on the road and on the track. ”

Mölleken calls the engine of the MR “an engineering balancing act”.
“For ultra-sporty country road use, pleasant power characteristics with plenty of torque in the low and mid-range are available,” he says, “while the engine High peak power is provided for running on the track.”
The new MR uses the same water-cooled 999cc inline-Four engine developed from the M RR and it delivers 205 hp at 13,500 rpm (40 hp more than the S 1000 R and revs). slightly higher engine than the M RR) and 83 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 rpm, as well as BMW ShiftCam technology. Compared to the S 1000 R, the engine’s top speed has been increased from 12,000 rpm to 14,600 rpm.
From 10,000 rpm, the new MR’s engine delivers much higher peak power and torque all the way to the red line. Increased rear wheel traction in all gears is also provided by a shorter secondary gear ratio through the use of a sprocket with 47 teeth compared to 45 in the S 1000 R. BMW says the new MR engine is “significantly more powerful than the four-cylinder engine of the S 1000 R across the entire rev range.” With an acceleration from 7.5 seconds to 124 mph, the MR is 0.5 seconds faster than the S 1000 R. The picture is even more impressive in terms of the pull-over value, measured in 6th gear. While the S 1000 R takes 3.3 seconds from 37 mph to 62 mph, the MR takes just 2.9 seconds. Average speeds from 62 mph to 93 mph take 2.5 seconds (3.3 seconds for the S 1000 R) and between 87 mph and 112 mph is 2.8 seconds (4.0 seconds for S 1000 R).

It also has the latest generation of Dynamic Traction Control DTC and DTC wheel function with 6-axis IMU, Launch Control, Hill Start Control Pro and Dynamic Damping Control. To slow down and stop the car, MR uses the M Brake system, ABS Pro with Race ABS and Brake Slip Assist.
