Prices at Disney are increasing – again, with immediate effect
It’s no secret that the cost of bringing a family to Disney World or Disneyland can be quite high. But, unfortunately, like so many other things in the world right now, prices are going up.
Outside of California, Disneyland The resort has quietly raised prices on a number of categories, including park tickets, Genie + skip-the-line admission, and even parking. These changes take effect immediately.
The price increase for Anaheim parks (Disneyland and Disney California Adventure) is the first of the year and affects single-day, multi-day passes and Park Hopper, along with Genie+.

Walt Disney World The fare increase was implemented in February 2022 and is not currently related to the price change in California. However, the parks in Florida have not been fully cleared. Daily Genie+ prices for Disney World are becoming variable – and in many cases, will increase. Several other costs in Florida parks have also increased.
So how much will a trip to the Disney parks in California cost? And how much will it cost you to use Genie+ in Anaheim and Orlando? Here’s what you need to know to budget for your upcoming park visit.

Ticket price increase
If you visit Disneyland on October 11, it will cost you $40 more for a family of four than it did the day before, with the average cost of a one-day park ticket increasing by $10 overnight .
And dynamic pricing is still the name of the game at Disney parks, meaning the more popular the day you visit, the higher the price.
You’ll still see this dynamic pricing reflected in Disney’s new pricing, plus there’s also a new so-called Tier 0 that keeps the base price for a one-day, one-park pass for as low as $104. Park Hopper tickets, however, cost as low as $169, $5 more than the previous lowest price.
For example, during the upcoming holiday months, you’ll pay a maximum Level 6 rate of $179 per day to visit a park (yes, one park per day). But if you come back on a weekday in mid-January when everyone else is home and going to school, you’ll have to pay a Tier 0 fare of $104.

Genie + price increase
Genie is out of bottles at Disney parks. Genie + pricing, that is.
But it’s not just the price to get in there that goes up. We’re seeing an increase in skip-the-park rates across parks, as reported by multiple parkers in both Orlando and Anaheim parks.
Previously, the cost to add Lightning Lane access (essentially a paid version of the old FastPass program) to your booking was $20 at Disneyland parks. Now, it has increased from $5 to $25 per day per person. This does not change by date. And as before, it still includes the Disney PhotoPass of the day, which makes it a bit more palatable.
The good news is that a new Genie+ perk at Disneyland is that it now includes California Adventure’s SpiderMan: Web Slingers, so you won’t need to pay the extra Lightning Lane fee for one of the newest ride experiences and the park’s most popular. (You’ll still need to pay $25 for now to access the $25 Rising Resistance Wave, up from $20.)
At Walt Disney World, tickets to Genie+ and Lightning Lane vary by day, meaning the most popular days will be the most expensive. According to Disney blogger Scott Gustin, pricing examples are only available for October and are $15 on less busy days and $22 on busier days. Previously, it was a flat $15 all-day at Disney World (and didn’t include PhotoPass access).
Also, in Disney World’s Disney Hollywood Studios, you’ll have to pay a separate, expensive Lightning Lane fee to ride Rise of the Resistance. The maximum skip price is now 25% increased from $20 to $25.

Increase parking at Disney
But please wait a moment. Disneyland is also running a price increase for priority parking, which will now be $50, up from $45. Valet valet service at Disneyland Resort hotels has increased 30% from $50 to 65. dollars with new signs are available.
Self-sufficient park admission ($35) will remain the same at Disneyland parks and resorts.
Cost increase at Walt Disney World
While admission prices have not increased again (yet) at Orlando parks, there are price increases in areas other than Genie+ and Lightning Lanes.
Most notably, we’re seeing an increase in the cost of add-on experiences in Hollywood Studios at Galaxy’s Edge, where handcrafted lamp brands at Savi’s Workshop are now $250, up from 220 dollars. And the cost to build a droid at Droid Depot is currently $120, up from $99.
We’re also hearing reports of food price increases at Walt Disney World, with Disney Food Blog reports that hundreds of new items have increased prices, and that the prices of some character dining experiences have also increased.
Key point
If you’re budgeting for a Disney vacation, be sure to check out the new price moves across the parks. These increases are immediate, so your day in the park may cost more today than it did yesterday.
While it’s always been true that being flexible on your park day will save you some money, it’s more true now than ever.
