2023 BMW 330Li M Sport facelift in Malaysia – LWB G28 LCI with comfortable suspension, sunroof, price RM306,000
As promised, BMW Malaysia has launched the BMW 330Li M Sport facelift 2023 in Malaysia. next to update M340iG28 LCI long wheelbase will complete refresh the 3 Seriesand priced from RM305,600 with the standard two-year warranty or RM325,800 with a 5-year extended warranty and service plan.
This makes the exact 330Li RM6k more expensive than the standard wheelbase 330i, RM27k more expensive than the 330e and RM42k over the base 320i. However, the new comfort-oriented variant costs RM66k less than the more performance-oriented M340i xDrive. Compare to 330Li before upgradehowever, the LCI version increases in price by RM20,000 with extended warranty.
Upgrade details aside, the 2023 330Li has almost the same exact formula as the upcoming LWB model. It has more upscale specs and is more passenger-oriented, with highlights including a comfortable suspension, a panoramic sunroof and a Sensatec leather dashboard. As before, the 330Li has a unique trapezoidal exhaust instead of the round one on the 320i, 330e and 330i.
Compared to the previous version, it has the full M Sport LCI equipment – sharper styling with slimmer headlights, a two-slat kidney grille (finished with an all-black elongated Shadowline). here), the interior is updated with the Curved Display taken from the i4, toggle gear selector, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now standard, meaning no more extra charges.
The wheel is an identical 18-inch dual-spoke 848 that fits both the previous FL 330Li and the updated 320i/330e/330i. Behind them is the 320i’s standard brakes, and not the upgraded M Sport blue caliper setup found on the 330e and 330i. Exterior color options are limited to Carbon Black, Mineral White, M Portimao Blue and Skyscraper Grey, all of which match the Mocha brown interior.
Characteristic for the 330Li is a smoother suspension and a higher ride feel (passive, non-adjustable), compared to the fixed M Sport suspension on the base 320i and adaptive suspension on the 330e and 330i. (later version launched in January 2023 with M Sport Suspension, updated in March with adaptive dampers along with RM2k price increase). Matching this is the standard steering instead of the variable sport steering found on other variants.
Inside, the G28 LCI is embellished with electrical controls (an upgrade over other variants), but it has standard piano black/aluminum interior trim and comfortable seats instead. for M Sport items. Thankfully, the M Sport-specific steering wheel and anthracite-black headlights remain the same, as does the 10-speaker HiFi speaker system (one-speaker up from the six-speaker setup in the 320i).
Needless to say, the wheelbase of the 330Li is still 110 mm longer than the rest of the G20 series, all about the doors/rear seats. According to the LWB model before the upgrade, the rear seats are fixed and cannot be folded.
In terms of power, it’s unchanged, matching the 330i with a 2.0-litre B48 turbocharger making 258 PS and 400 Nm of torque, linked to an automatic Steptronic Sport eight-speed torque converter transmit power to the rear wheel. The 330Li is heavier than the 330i, so the car takes 6.2 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h (0.4 seconds slower), the maximum speed is still at 250 km / h. BMW claims an average fuel consumption of 6.4 liters per 100 km.
In the safety department, it has a Driving Assistant as standard. This package includes Lane Departure Warning with Active Steering Intervention, Lane Change Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Brake Intervention (AEB), Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Collision Warning rear, Speed Limit Info and Manual Speed Limit Assist. However, there is still no ACC and Level 2 autopilot.
