2023 Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate revealed


Aston Martin unveiled the final version of the current generation, powered by a V12 . engine DBS sports car to celebrate the end of production.

Only 499 DBS 770 Ultimates will be made globally – 300 coupes and 199 Volante convertibles – with order books closed. Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2023.

Powering the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is an upgraded version 5.2 liter twin-turbo V12 engine produces 770 PS, hence the name, or 566kW power and 900Nm of torque. This is 33kW more than conventional DBS.

Aston Martin says it gained additional power by modifying the air intake and ignition lines, as well as increasing the maximum turbocharger pressure by seven per cent.

This is mated to a ZF-derived eight-speed automatic transmission with powertrain sent only to the rear wheels. There is also a mechanical limited-slip differential on the rear axle.

Aston Martin claims the coupe version of the DBS 770 Ultimate can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while the Volante convertible takes 3.6 seconds. To put it bluntly, you will run at 340km/h.

Some of the other changes Aston Martin has made to the DBS 770 Ultimate include a monolithic steering column, an improved front crossbar, thicker rear fascia and uniquely tuned adaptive dampers.

Providing stopping power is a set of carbon ceramic brakes. The front disc is 410mm wide and the rear disc is 360mm wide.

In terms of design, Aston Martin equips DBS 770 Ultimate with 21-inch multi-spoke wheels inspired by nostalgic style. win once and Valkyrie supercar. They are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.

There are two new exterior vents on the front splitter for enhanced cooling, as well as a carbon fiber rail, wraparound windshield, side mirror caps and wheel arch guards.

At the rear, there’s a unique rear diffuser that is said to maintain “aerodynamic balance from front to back”.

Inside the DBS 770 Ultimate are standard Sports Plus front seats, upholstered in semi-aniline and Alcantara leather. They are quilted and have a perforated pattern.

There are carbon fiber gearshift paddles as standard, along with a custom strap and buckle badge with laser-engraved DBS 770 Ultimate logo on the center armrest.

On the sill there is a plate that denotes the car’s exclusivity and has Aston Martin wings.

A plethora of bespoke interior and exterior options are also available through Aston Martin’s Q division.

The current-generation Aston Martin DBS, formerly known as the DBS Superleggera before the 2022 model year, was first revealed in 2018, but the nameplate dates back to the 1960s.

Company President Lawrence Stroll said car in February 2022, DBS, together with related DB11 and favorablewill get updated suspension, engine and transmission in 2023.

All three front-engine sports cars will also feature heavily revised styling plus an overhauled interior with newer technology.

Mr. Stroll said DBS will not lose the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12.

The Vantage and DB11 will continue to use the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, although they will be upgraded to accommodate more recent AMG models.

Then-CEO Tobias Moers said that in 2021, the Aston Martin lineup will receive 11 new models by the end of 2023, including electric models.

Aston Martin also plans to use the Lagona nameplate for ultra-luxury versions of its existing models, with the company canceling plans to reintroduce it as an independent brand.

It is all part of the brand’s goal of expanding the portfolio and becoming a “self-sustaining company”, despite its close relationship with Mercedes-AMG, by 2024 and 2025.
