2022 Ties in Players’ Championship, Pairs: Course completion, schedule for Round 1 at TPC Sawgrass

The pitch is set for the 2022 Players’ Championship and as usual it includes nearly all of the best players in the world. In fact, 47 of the top 50 will tee off on Thursday when the action kicks off at TPC Sawgrass. Many of those players will be paired together on Thursday and Friday in the first two rounds of an event set to be beset by weather, wind and rain throughout the week in North Florida. .

While rain is expected on Thursday and Friday, it is possible to push some of these tee times into the following days; it’s the weekend that will be most interesting as gusts of 20-30 mph are expected for the final 36 holes. That gives a huge advantage to the best dribbling strikers, many of whom will be in the top tier. Firstly 36 holes.

While the preferred winner comes from one of those pools, TPC Sawgrass contains more variance than most courts, and other groups (like Kyle Stanley, Tommy Fleetwood and Wyndham Clark) will also bring in the winnings.
