2022 Masters Score, Tiger Woods: The fiery shot leads to the worst 78th round of his career at Augusta National
Tiger Woods started the day right in the top 20 of the rankings at the 2022 Masters, but while Motion Day is generally an opportunity for golfers to come together as a vehicle to jump into the top 10, Woods looks like he might be better off wrapping it up in bubble wrap before heading back to the course on Sunday.
Tiger shot 6 over 78 in Round 3, his worst score was masters – whether professional or amateur – in his career. The combination of an uncomfortable surgically repaired right foot and an unbalanced swing was simply too much for Woods to overcome, even with his experience and acumen at Augusta National. .
It’s disappointing but completely understandable when Tiger is playing his first professional golf event just 14 months after nearly losing his leg in a fatal car crash. However, after Woods made his 22nd straight Masters as a professional on Friday, it is expected he will compete on the final 18 holes.

At this point, it’s still controversial as to whether anyone can catch world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler following his performance at Augusta this week, but Woods provided some feeling though. While suspenseful in his Saturday effort, there were too many mistakes and not enough power to make him a threat to leaders.
Tiger had three birdies, five bogeys and two double bogeys on his way to a more six. His pace wasn’t terrible compared to the average on the court for the day, but playing the last three holes in 4 of 4 negated what should have been a more respectable score than on the court. Instead, his transcript has been historically bad.
That doesn’t mean Tiger doesn’t provide entertainment to the crowd of patrons after his every turn. Woods controlled the ball well and made some great synergies with his jabs around the green, but his poor performance with the putter delivered heartbreak in one part of the field. which he usually has the advantage of.
