Oatmeal wahl nature is very good. I use their filthy beast on my yorkie but she has no skin problems. I have found the best way to use dog shampoo is to put a small amount in an empty clean bottle afterwards Fill with warm water and then use that it will be easier for the dog to get through the coat and wash it off. Human shampoos have the wrong PH balance for dogs, even baby shampoos are too strong for them.

OTC Oatmeal Shampoo & if that doesn’t help, your Veterinarian can prescribe you a prescription shampoo. Bert’s Bees comes in a gentle spray because it’s so itchy.

Have you tried using an oatmeal shampoo? What about the air conditioner? Yorkies have fur, not fur, so basically treat it the way you would treat your hair. Use a good shampoo & conditioner combination. I’ve used Oster’s Oatmeal Shampoo and discharge oil. Dusty’s hair is always soft and shiny. Alternatively, try using a natural boar bristle brush. It helps pull out their natural oils to keep their coats shinier and softer than dog brushes.

Burt’s Bees Treat itchy skin for dogs with oatmeal. I got this at Walmart. Product is very good. I also apply Benadryl spray when my Yorkie is so itchy! Good luck!!

I have tried everything I think. Nothing works. You are not the only one. The vet told me that this year has been very bad for the dog. My dog is scratching his own blood and I don’t know what to do. I started googling some of that stuff on the internet, but I’ve read there that many people say it doesn’t work. I bathed it in Dawn but it dries out the skin if used too much. I guess we’ll have to get over it. The vet told me to use Oatmeal shampoo. Seems to help a bit. Good luck
